BEACH & BANDITS X SUNFLOWER SUNSHINE COLLABORATION

We are so happy to announce our newest collaboration: BEACH & BANDITS X SUNFLOWER SUNSHINE

Nanda Tieman is originally Dutch and owner of creative studio Sunflower Sunshine, now based on the east coast of Australia.

“ I try to put a personal touch in all of my designs, I think this is the power of attractive looking designs.  The Golden Wattle pattern with it’s Australian native flowers, is inspired by my now home country Australia. I thought it would be a nice touch to put that in a design for a Dutch brand, so the two worlds collide. Lately I’ve been drawn to shells and pearls (Pearls & Palms), I love how something so beautiful can grow within a not so exciting looking shell. With my designs I want to make people believe the best about themselves and see the beauty within. I hope the kids that will wear one of my patterns will also know that ‘true beauty comes from within’. Working with Beach & Bandits was a dream come true. It always is so nice to see your designs come to live.”

Help us to ‘SAVE OUR SEAS’ with our special collaboration styles…

Beach & Bandits loves the beach and the ocean. A few years ago we heard about the “Plastic Soup”. More and more plastic waste is ending up in our oceans and seas. Due to the effects of weathering, sunlight and wave action, this plastic reduces to smaller particles. This leads to serious pollution. The Plastic Soup Foundation wants to put an end to the increasing pollution of the seas and oceans with plastics. They want to prevent even more plastics entering the sea in the future.

With our UPF50+ “SAVE OUR SEAS” collection we want to support the Plastic Soup Foundation by donating 25% of every purchase. We want to make people aware of the problem and we want to involve our little bandits in the healing process of the planet. By taking our kids to the beach and let them get in touch with nature we can learn our kids that they as individuals can make good things happen. That’s why we’re offering 5 simple steps to save our seas. They are free, family-friendly and will surely make the oceans a better place to swim in!

    1. Take care of the beach. Clean up your own trash and take 3 or more pieces you find with you when you leave the beach
    2. Use eco-friendly sunscreen and wear a rashguard
    3. Get your own reusable water bottle
    4. Buy less plastic toys
    5. Learn about the ocean and how your actions have an impact
